Mickey Mouse Cake
You won’t believe how easy this is to make. I rolled out some pink fondant and used a Mickey Mouse bread stamp to make the center piece of this mini cake. Add a few sprinkles and you are finished. There are all types of these stamps you can purchase to stamp your toast.

Flag Cake for your 4th of July Celebration
This is a great center piece for any 4th of July celebration. You can use a buttercream icing or to mix it up you could use strawberries for the stripes and blue berries around the white stars.
Brownie Pops
These are fun for birthdays, holiday or classroom parties. When I make them I make the icing a little runny then dip in the bottom of the brownie and drop it in a cup of sprinkles. Next put the stick in to make a hole then pipe in a little icing and reinsert the stick. Put in the freezer for a few minutes so the icing will set up then you can put them in snack bags and tie with a piece of ribbon.

All American Brownies & Rice Krispie Treats
These were made with a star silicone ban. Regardless if you made brownies or rice krispie treats, they will be the star of any celebration.
Graduation Cupcakes
I made these for a friend at work. To make the little hats I used a bon-bon mold for the base. To make the squares I put a thin layer of chocolate on wax paper and put in the freezer for a few minutes to harden. Then just take a razor blade and cut out the squares. It only take a drop of the hot chocolate to fix the two pieces together. For the tassel I just piped in with buttercream icing.
Rubber Duck Cake & Matching Cupcakes
This cake and matching cupcake is for a baby shower for a little boy. The duck mold I picked up at Michael’s. The candy ducks on top of the cupcake were made with candy melts. The mold was from Kitchen Kraft.

Making Dinosaur Egg Night Lights
This is just one of the new projects in the new Egg Crafts book. To make theses dinosaur egg night lights you need to clean out some eggs. After cracking the eggs I chip out a small opening to get the egg and yoke out. Next I paint the area around the opening with clear nail polish. Once it is dry you can use some scissors to widen the opening. I painted the egg with some black nail polish and while it is still wet I sprinkled on some gold glitter with stars in it. I paint the egg with a clear coat to seal in the egg. Cut a small hole in the bottom to insert the tea light. Paint the base of the egg the same as the egg. I used a small Dremel drill to drill some small holes around the top to let the light out. Once everything is dry then glue the egg to the tea light. The last step is to glue the dinosaur in place. The tea lights are LED lights that don’t put off any heat and it will be safe for a child to hold and imagine the times of dinosaurs.

How to get out of the dog house for Father’s Day Tip #9
My dad loved sweets and one sure way to get back on his good side would be to make a batch of chocolate chip, toffee chip and walnut cookies. My recipe was simple, make a double batch of chocolate cookie using the recipe on the back of the bag of chocolate chips. Add a full 2 oz. of vanilla extract, an entire bag of toffee chips, 1 bag of walnut pieces and full bag of chocolate chips and even some peanut butter or butterscotch chips if you want to live on the wild side. Bake in large clumps and serve it to your dad with a nice glass of milk.
You might just get out of the dog house for using liquid soap on windows and puff a puff a rice on the lawns on Halloween. The rice would puff when the sprinklers hit it and made the lawn look like snow. Yes I was a brat but I also was volunteered by my dad to help clean up the mess.

How to get out of the dog house for Father’s Day Tip #8
Gift Idea: My dad loved to fish and would take my brother and I to the jetty in Dana Point. We would hike all the way out and he would bait my hook and wait to see what we would get. With out a doubt I would hook a California Scorpion fish every time. Scorpion fish are nasty little fish that like to live around piers and jetties. They have fin spines that are venomous. Every time I would bring one up he would have to cut the line. Fishing line and hooks were a great gift that year. If your dad likes fly fishing there are books on how to make your own fishing flies or just surprise him with an assortment.

Red Dragon Egg
This is just one of the projects in the Egg Craft book. I used an Ostrich egg to make this. The base is a floral stand I found at Hobby Lobby and painted it to match the egg. This egg also has a tea light inside. These are a lot of fun to make, you never know what your imagination will take you, so when you walk by a toy store and see a red dragon, who would have guessed it would end us in an Ostrich egg.
