Make Earring out of Minature Ornaments

Make holiday earrings out of minature Christmas ornaments in just a few minutes.  All you need is a some ornaments and some earrings shown above.  Use plyers to pull open the loop then slip on the ornament and close the loop back.  The little snowflake ornaments I purchased a stud backing and used E6000 jewlery glue to glue the snowflake to the base.  These only take a few minutes to make either for yourself or to give as a gift to a special friend.

Reindeer and Christmas Tree Cupcakes

The reindeer pick I purchased at Hobby Lobby along with the baking cups.  To make the little Christmas trees use a star tip and pile one on top of the other each getting  a little smaller.  The star at the top was for some flower confetti.

Teapot Miniatures

These teapots I found at a swap meet and cut them using a miniature drill. You have to do this on a ceramic teapot. Once I cut the teapot I paint the inside with glass paint then sprinkle in some glitter. You need to cut a hole in the front to let light in on your scene. The Nativity scene is from miniature Christmas ornaments.  The little apple teapot I found a little mouse figuring that was a perfect fit.  I painted a wood base and hot glued the teapot to it.  Decorate with flowers and at this is a nice little gift.

Eggs as Ornaments

You can make beautiful ornaments out of eggs.  The first thing is the crack the egg and pierce the yoke so it is easier to get out.  Once out I put the egg in an antibacterial bath and let it soak for a half hour.  After the egg is clean and dry paint the surface with clear nail polish.  This helps when you start cutting the openings.  You can use cuticle sizzors or a small drill to cut the egg.  The pink egg was cut using the drill with a miniture drill bit.  Once you have cut the eggs I normally will paint the eggs and let them dry then use another coat of clear nail polish to seal and give the egg strenght.  Now you are ready to decorate your egg whether it is for you or these are great little gifts.

Moving Office Cake

I had a little too much fun with this one.  One of the guys from work had to move up Tustin from our Aliso Viejo facility so they asked me to make a cake and told me I could have a free hand in the design.  So this is what I came up with and everyone had a great laugh!

Dog & Cat Stockings

I put Halloween away and it’s time to start working on my Christmas projects.  The stocking above are fast and easy to make.  For the dog stocking cut out the shape of a bone and for the cat a mousey.  If you don’t have a sewing machine you can hot glue these together.  To put the pictures in, I cut a piece of plastic and hot glued it to the front of the stocking.  To hide the edges glue some ribbon around the outside then you can insert your pets picture,  To finish them off you can cut the name out in felt or just use a glitter glue pen.  For the cat stocking I used some buttons to decorate around the picture and also one for the eye.
